Many of these services are available in the field using portable equipment, while others can be performed at our Green Cove Springs haul-in clinic, where we have a controlled environment and convenient access to additional diagnostic resources. Choosing the Right Imaging Technology
No single imaging modality provides all of the information needed for every condition.
Radiographs are particularly valuable for evaluating bone, while ultrasound provides information about many soft-tissue structures. Endoscopy allows direct visualization of internal structures such as the upper airway, while gastroscopy allows our veterinarians to directly examine the stomach.
In some cases, more than one imaging modality may be recommended to develop a complete picture of the problem. Our veterinarians select diagnostic imaging based on the horse's examination findings rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
