ACTH Testing: Measures adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and is used in the diagnosis and monitoring of Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction (PPID), commonly known as Equine Cushing’s disease.

CBC (Complete Blood Count): Evaluates red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets to provide valuable information about your horse’s overall health and help identify abnormalities such as anemia, inflammation, and infection.

Blood Chemistry: Evaluates enzymes, electrolytes, proteins, and other values that provide information about organ function, hydration, and overall health.

Fecal Egg Count: Measures parasite egg shedding and helps our veterinarians make more informed, targeted deworming recommendations.

Insulin Testing: Helps evaluate insulin dysregulation, an important component of Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) and a significant risk factor for laminitis. Testing may also be recommended in horses with PPID because the conditions can occur together.
