Jacksonville Equine uses a state of the art video endoscopy system that allows our doctors to directly image structures in the nasal passages, upper airway and esophagus. With this imaging modality we are able to safely and painlessly examine your horse for causes of nasal discharge, cough, bleeding or poor performance.

​What to expect:

The patient will receive a light sedative

Next your vet will insert a specialized narrow tube with a high definition camera into the nose and while being passed the airways are thoroughly examined.

Additionally, any samples that can assist in getting a diagnosis are obtained.

After the procedure is done, the patient will just need 45 minutes roughly to fully wake up and resume normal activity
