We are excited to be able to offer regenerative medicine to our patients as an alternative to traditional steroids.  Regenerative medicine uses the bodies own blood, sometimes with the help of foreign biological material, to recreate cells and rebuild tissues and organs. The process takes approximatly 5-10 minutes to collect and properly centifrugate the blood collected, and can be done stall side. 

1. Our Veterinarian will draw blood from your horse and transfer it into the portable centrifuge to begin 

2. Initial 60 second spin on separates cell layers, the second rotation removes Red Blood Cells,  the final rotation  removes Platelet Poor Plasma for Autologus Platelet Concentrate withdrawal.

3. We will inject this solution into the damaged area 

4.  In most cases 3-5 day of rest is recommended. 

Pro-Stride® APS is a joint injection that uses cytokines, growth factors, and anti-inflammatory agents from a horse’s own blood. These factors are injected directly into a horse’s joint to help manage osteoarthritis and/or other causes of lameness to help reduce pain and inflammation. Following a single injection, Pro-Stride® APS has been proven to provide pain relief for up to a year.

1. Our Veterinarian will draw blood from your horse and transfer it into the first part of our dual-device system, the APS Separator Device.

2. They’ll spin the blood in a centrifuge and transfer the resulting PRP into the second device (the APS Concentrator Device) to spin again, which will create a highly concentrated Autologous Protein Solution (APS) containing the horse’s natural healing properties.

3. We will inject this solution into the damaged area to reduce inflammation, relieve pain and supercharge your horse’s healing.

4.  In most cases 3-5 day of rest is recommended.
