Kelsey Bolton CEVT
Technician
Kelsey Bolton is an AAEVT-certified Equine Veterinary Technician and serves a unique dual role at Jacksonville Equine Associates, working alongside our veterinarians in the field while also serving as the practice’s website manager and designer. Whether assisting with patients on farm calls or managing the practice’s online presence, Kelsey combines her background in veterinary medicine, agriculture, and communications to support both our veterinary team and clients.
Kelsey studied Animal Science and Livestock Reproduction at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia before her family became involved in commercial farming. Their operation later transitioned toward dairy goats, cattle, and sustainable homesteading, giving her extensive hands-on experience with multiple livestock species. She has also completed cattle artificial insemination and reproductive management training, complementing her particular interest in small and large ruminant health and reproduction.
Although much of her work at Jacksonville Equine centers around equine patients, Kelsey’s diverse livestock background gives her a special appreciation for the practice’s involvement with goats, sheep, cattle, and other farm animals.
A lifelong horsewoman, Kelsey began competing at the age of 10 and continued through her college years. These days, she spends more time on the other side of the show ring as a mom to five daughters. Her family is heavily involved in FFA, 4-H, livestock shows, and agricultural projects, raising and exhibiting a variety of livestock and rabbits throughout the year.
Kelsey and her family now call a historic farm in Melrose, Florida home, where horses, livestock, and agriculture remain a central part of everyday life. When she isn’t working, farming, or traveling to a livestock show, Kelsey enjoys photography, trips to the mountains, fly fishing, and spending time outdoors with her family.
Her lifelong involvement in horses, livestock, agriculture, and competition continues to shape her work as an equine veterinary technician and gives her a firsthand understanding of the horse owners, livestock producers, and agricultural families Jacksonville Equine Associates serves.
